How We Met Bobby Boop Chapter 2

August 23, 2009

                            Chapter 2

I took Bobby back to vet after 14 days.  The little boy has gained some onces and vet is very happy with his progress.  He got his first kitten shots and was checked for feline leukemia.  He is negative and we are thrilled.  I brought him home and let other cats see him.  They are underwhelmed.  We are thrilled.

We give him bottles, burp him, potty him and love him.  He’s doing great.  At age 5 weeks we have Thanksgiving dinner.   All our friends hugs and loves on him.  We take him to see Santa and have his picture taken with the man in red.  He is so tiny, he is smaller than the kittens in store awaiting adoption. We are so happy he is doing well.

After several weeks he is off the bottle and box trained.  Robert watches him for a week while we go to Vegas.  Robert brings his mom over to see the “cutest kitten in the world”.  Took me a little while to wean him.  Put the kibble in a coffee grinder and mixed it with the formula.  Put some on my fingers and he suckled off as though it was a bottle.  After 2 days he was a pro, and a few days after that he was using the litter box.  He can jump out of his box, so we put the box on its side and Bobby lives there.
