Eat What You Want On This Specific Fat Loss Strategy
July 31, 2010
The best type of fat loss plan ought to allow you to shed fat while simultaneously living a full, happy life. If you aren’t having fun and living a full life then what is the use in getting fit? Socializing and enjoying food and drinks with friends and family are a big part of what makes life great. Enjoy whatever kinds of rich foods and adult beverages that you want while having a great body if you know what you are doing. If you want a great body and enjoy great food, follow these couple of guidelines.
Do NOT Worry About Your Daily Caloric Intake, Rather Think About Your Weekly Caloric Intake.
People are so hooked on the idea of counting daily calories. But with this kind of thinking, no one would have calories left over for celebratory meals. In order to succeed, a guy would have to stick to about 1800 calories everyday if he weighs in around 180 pounds. Some tasty BBQ accompanied by chips, potato salad, dessert and cold beer will surpass the daily calorie limit in a single meal. So, he’s fallen off the wagon with just one meal.
Counting Weekly Calories is a Better Approach
Truth be told, I am not a proponent of calorie counting. But I do give credence to falling within a range of calories. Thus, if the 180 pound male dieter ate 4,000 calories on a given day, he should attempt to have a lower calorie day prior to his feast, and two such days following it. Our imaginary guy has had approximately 2200 more calories than he “should” have. He simply have to throw in a few days of calories in the 1000 range to make up for it.
A Few Frequent Objections to This Plan
A common reaction to this strategy is that people believe their metabolism will slow down if they don’t eat every few hours. This belief has been proven false in the past few years. It is also sometimes said that people will start to lost muscle unless they have substantial protein intake each day. This has been proven false as well. Actually, recent research placed its subjects on a diet of 800 calories per day and required them to engage in resistance exercise three times each week. The subjects did not experience substantial amounts of muscle loss. Things like the starvation effect and muscle wasting happen over long periods of time, so no need to worry about a few low calorie days thrown into the mix.
Worrying About Social Events Are a Thing of the Past
Indeed, it is hard to think of any other diet plan that permits fat loss and an active social life simultaneously. All other lifestyles include leaving out favorite foods. A couple of below average calorie days with this fat loss plan is a small price for having the body you want and not having to cut out parties and celebrations.
